Halloween 2024 - What We Know so Far - Part 1 The South

Every year we try to bring a couple of blog posts with everything that has been announced for this year's Halloween season in the UK, and this year is no exception. Like with previous years, this year the blogs will be split into 4 covering the South, the Midlands, the North and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. There’s a lot to get through so shall we get part 1 started. (Last Updated: 25/06/2024)




South West


Fear at Avon Valley, located just outside Bristol, will be returning in 2024. The line up hasn't been officially announced yet but it could be the same as the 2023 season. The event will run on the 11th, 12th, 18th - 20th, 25th - 27th and 31st October - 2nd November. Tickets start from £25. Watermouth Castle and family theme park in Ilfracombe will host Descend Into Darkness. This will be the attractions first scare event. It will feature 5 areas for you to journey through as you descend in the darkness. These are Cursed Forest, Carnival of Clowns, The Mad Maze, Voodoo Valley and The Haunted Castle. The event will run for 3 nights on the 25th, 26th and 27th October. Tickets are £20.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Watermouth Castle website.


Arcadia Escape Rooms in Bournemouth will host an extreme attraction called Cosmetic Surgery. Little is currently known about the experience but we are sure more details will become available on the Arcadia Escape Rooms website.



London and South East


Tulleys Shocktoberfest in Crawley returns for 2024 with some changes to its line up. Gone are The Island and The Circus of Horrors. The website teases three new attractions opening for the 2024 season. We don't currently know anything about these attractions. Doom Town, Electrick Circus, Wastelands Penitentiary, The Village Coven of 13, The Creepy Cottage, The Chop Shop, Hellements, Horrorwood Haunted Hayride and The Cellar Imprisoned all returning. Fort Amherst Halloween Horrors have announced that it will be celebrating its 40th years of scaring. Their website isn’t currently teasing any attractions. He event will run for 7 nights on 20th – 22nd and 26th – 29th October. Tickets are £30.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Fort Amherst Halloween Horrors website.


Funland at Hayling Island will once again play home to Funland Fright night. The event will run for just three nights on the 26th and 30th October and 2nd November. Tickets are £20.00. Attractions include Destination Z, Freakland Amusements, The Theatre of Screams and The Witches Coven. We believe Destination Z will be the scare maze. Fright Nights at Thorpe park returns this year. The event will run between the 4th October and 3rd November. The attraction line up is currently unknown. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Thorpe Park Fright Nights website.


Howl'o'ween at Chessington World of Adventures looks set to return this year. The event will run between the 5th October to the 2nd November. The website has confirmed that Vile Villagers will return. Tickets start from £35.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Chessington World of Adventures website.


The London Bridge Experience and London Tombs have recently updated their website and released tickets for their Halloween special, this year called Dreadflix. The event will run for just 7 nights on the 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th and 31st October and the 1st and 2nd of November. Tickets start from £31.00. East Anglia


Primevil returns in 2024. The event will run for 14 nights on selected dates between 17th October and 2nd November. Their attraction line up is yet to revealed. Tickets start from £28.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Primevil website.


The Howl will be returning in 2024. Its current line up is yet to be confirmed but its likely to be the same as 2023. The event hasn't yet revealed its date for this year and early bird open dated tickets did go on sale earlier in the year but general release tickets are yet to be released. Horror at Hinchingbrooke House have confirmed that they will be returning in 2024. The event will run from 26th October - 2nd November. There will be new scare zones. Pleasurewood Hills have confirmed the dates for Pleasurewood Chills 2024. The event will run 26th October – 3rd November. The scare mazes are yet to be confirmed. Tickets start from £19.75. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Pleasurewood Hills website.


Trinity Scares returns to Ipswich this year. The event will run from the 18th until 31st October. Tickets start from £24.99. Also this year is the optional extra called The Cave at a cost of £5.99 For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Trinity Scares website.


Hills Self Storage After Dark is a new event for 2024 in Colchester. This charity event will open for just one night on the 2nd November. Tickets are £6.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Hills Self Storage website.


Colchester Zoo's Trail of Terror returns in 2024. The event will run for 7 nights between 18th and 30th October. Tickets start from £24.00. For more information and to book tickets you can visit the Colchester Zoo website.


The Bunker Below in Brentwood haven't released any information about tickets or dates but have put an interesting little thing on their website saying that they are returning in 2024 with new zones, characters and new scenes.
