Returning to Scream Factory for their My Bloody Valentine's event, we found ourselves in for another night of laughs, scares, and unexpected… intimacy. While The After Shock bar was familiar, featuring DJ Kruger, roaming actors, and a selection of refreshments, the food stalls were closed, likely due to it being a quieter evening. That said, the atmosphere remained lively, thanks to the energetic roaming actors, including the ever-memorable Bonnie and Clyde and our personal favorite, the unnamed clown we dubbed “Honkers.”

With a shorter queue time than the Halloween event, we were given the choice to go through in a group or just as a duo. Opting for the latter made for a more intense and personalized experience, which started off strong in the first scare zone:
• Clowns With Crimson Desires: If you ever wanted an unsettling mix of horror and unconventional audience participation, this was it. One particular clown took his performance very seriously, finishing his act by throwing paper at us and yelling “kisses” until we blew him some. A strong start that set the tone for the night!
• The Tunnel Of Love: An eerie, disorienting area where visibility was nearly zero. My friend, new to scare attractions, was left unsure of what was lurking in the mist—which is exactly what made this section so effective.
• Candy's Shack: Featuring the unforgettable Hard Sausages Candy, Rusty, and Harold, this zone was equal parts grotesque and hilarious. Candy even had us doing a sexy dance, because apparently, terror alone wasn’t enough!

• The Shaft Of Love: A deeply uncomfortable (but brilliantly performed) scenario involving a mother and her overly attached son, who wanted to keep us for company in their mine shaft. This also included an intense chainsaw chase, though at this point, chainsaws don’t quite faze me anymore, though still fun.
• Saint Sinister's Love Clinic and Vecna’s Love Nest: Easily one of the most outrageous zones of the night. Between a rogue sperm trying to impregnate me, a masked figure tending to a corpse with a permanent problem, and a character wielding a gag and whip, this section was as chaotic as it was hysterical. The hug from the corpse-tender, who confessed he had never been hugged as a child, was a surprisingly wholesome(?) moment in an otherwise completely unhinged experience. While visually appealing, there wasn’t much direct interaction here. However, highlights included repurposing the entry to the ‘upside down’ into a woman’s anatomy, followed by a chef who proudly showed off his sausage—yes, really.
• The Cream Factory: Led in by a circus master with a taste for whipping his guests, we navigated this area in blackout goggles, making us easy prey for the mischievous actors. My balloon and hat became particular targets, and there were plenty of suggestive jokes (including some about cream—not the ice cream variety). The addition of a cold fan element enhanced the eerie atmosphere.
At the end, we were greeted by a larger-than-life drag queen toying with a member of the public, followed by a final chainsaw chase to round out the experience. While I’ve grown accustomed to the chainsaws, it was all fresh terror for my friend, making for an entertaining finale!

Final Thoughts
Despite the quieter evening, My Bloody Valentine at Scream Factory still delivered a fantastic mix of scares, humor, and uniquely uncomfortable moments. The actors truly made the experience, bringing a level of unpredictable interaction that kept us on our toes, and really involved us in the experience. A lot more banter than in the Halloween experience which we enjoyed, truly immersed us in the experience. We really hope this event comes back next year!
